site design: Capra is a certified Permaculture Design Consultant, and studied for 10 months at the Permaculture Institute of Northern California where she produced courses, worked on large-scale earthworks for run-off control and water catchement, built home-scale greywater systems, experimented with the site's demonstration gardens and participated in natural building projects. She continues to collaborate with the Institute's design department, Sustainable Living Designs, and has realized designs on sites ranging from small urban lots to 200 acre parcels with full zonation from daily human use to wildlife corridors and forest restorations.

She has also studied natural building at the Zopilote Association and has participated in building straw bale, cob, stone, and light clay straw structures, and is skilled in natural plastering, fresco and paint techniques. She has taught permaculture design, alternative energy and passive solar design segments at both institutes.

Capra is available to do site consultations and designs. She is currently working on a variety of biological water cleaning systems, efficient urban agro forestry, and passive solar retrofits at several sites in Portland.
